Claude Péloquin avait été pressenti pour écrire le poème qui serait lu par Guy Laliberté dans l'espace le 9 octobre. Je l'avais vu en discuter nonchalamment avec Pierre Lebeau que j'ai rencontré le mois dernier. Le boss du Cirque du Soleil, présentement en conférence de presse, nous avise que le texte qu'il lira en orbite sera écrit par Yann Martel, un écrivain canadien fort coté.

Semblerait que le Pélo gossait avec les droits futurs de son poème. Quand il a changé d'idée et constaté que ça serait cool d'écrire bénévolement pour une mission qui passera à l'histoire, Laliberté était déjà passé à autre chose. Le poète débande et sa tête, habituellement si enflée, se dessouffle lentement et atteindra peut-être une proportion normale. Ainsi va la vie.

Déjà d'être lu dans l'Espace et d'avoir la recrudescence de reconnaissance que la nouvelle a provoqué pour son poème et sa personne aurait du être suffisant me semble.
Bien fait pour lui.
Faut quand même reconnaître qu'il a écrit les paroles de Lindberg et California pour Charlebois. C'est ça qui a dû lui monter à la tête.
Et la tête de Yann Martel, qui est un auteur modeste, passera toujours dans les portes...
